Wenaha Henry: Seeds to a Tree

Written By Emanuel Rose. Illustrated by Chris Acuña.

This 16 page picture book continues the story of Henry the Red Tailed Hawk as he learns about nature and the ecosystem he calls home. Wenaha Henry Seeds to a Tree is a truly lyrical and spirited tale that takes children on a beautiful tour of nature, coupled with vibrant illustrations and impactful storytelling that shows the unbreakable bond between nature and the creatures who live within its glory.

The project called for 16 fully painted page illustrations depicting the Wenaha River Valley and various animals that inhabit the area. Each book ships with a pack of Douglas Fir Seeds that can be planted which I thought was a great idea from the Author!

Ayisha For President

Written by Russ Charvonia & Jennifer Radics-Johnson. Illustrated by Chris Acuña.

Ayisha and her friends quickly recognize the need to treat each other with dignity and respect. They realize that diversity of background, thought, opinion, and ideas creates a more vibrant and rewarding society. And Ms. Macon creates an environment for her students to creatively thrive.

This picture book project called for all initial concept work, character designs, as well as the final full page illustrations to bring the classroom and the dynamic conversations between the children in the story to life.
